Palema Trotting is a newly built training facility for harness horses located in Vero Beach, Florida, one hour north from West Palm Beach.
It is a first class training camp, one of it’s kind in Florida. It offers a 1000 meter (5/8 mile) oval track,a 900 meter (4/6 mile) speed track, 29 paddocks and 107 boxes as well as an underwater treadmill. There is also new, high quality housing facilities for staff and guests.
The 1000 meter oval is designed and built by wellknown Greg Coon from Charles E. Coon & Sons, Inc.
The training camp provides offices, restrooms, washingstalls , tackrooms and dorms. There is also a covered balcony where you can overlook the tracks and stalls.
Palema Trotting is operated as a family business with high class maintenance of buildings, tracks and surroundings. There is a supervisor living at the farm.
Palema Trotting is conveniently located in Vero Beach, Florida. Highway I95 is only a 5 min drive away and so are also the veterinary facilities housing x-ray.
Indian River Mall and a large range of other shops and restaurants is also just minutes away.
Ten more minutes takes you to the Atlantic Ocean and the best beaches of Indian River County.
Palema Trotting is owned and operated by its two owners: The Bender Family / Palema Stable, a Swedish stable owner and breeder since 1960, who won the 1992 Hambletonian with Alf Palema. Åke Svanstedt, who is one of the most successful trainer and driver in Sweden. Now moved to the US, and won the 2017 Hambletonian with Perfect Spirit.
